Where it started
The project began with a wooded site and the goal of creating a practical private retreat that felt connected to its natural setting. Access, site preparation, the cabin footprint and construction sequencing all had to be coordinated before the structure could take shape.

The design approach
The cabin was designed around a warm, durable character with wood siding, a wraparound porch, natural branch-style railings, stone foundation detailing and compact interior spaces that make the most of the retreat.
03 · Engineering considerations
Technical coordination
Building in a wooded setting required careful coordination of site access, grading, foundation work, drainage, structural framing and finish transitions while protecting the character of the surrounding property.
